Just Another Day Being Human
Day 35 — Gut Nisdorf
Wake-up feel: 6. Tired.
Exercises done before the walk. The body went anyway.
Root day. Moon in Virgo. Moon-Saturn opposition just passed. The body knows.
Something was flying alongside me — low, calling every now and again into the cold air. Crow or raven. The difference matters: a raven's call rolls, a crow's breaks. This one broke. But the light was early and certainty was not what the morning was offering. The question mattered more than the answer.
The Bodden was running with continuous ripples, a westerly pushing across the surface. Yesterday it was held — not calm, held. Today the water was doing what water does when something moves through it. On the other side, over the rapeseed fields, the sun was coming up on the horizon. The day began.
Tonight is Beltane eve — fire festival, the peak of spring, the night the veil runs thin. Tomorrow the full moon rises at 19h. The rapeseed bloomed through the frost of the last few days. The crow flew alongside without explanation.
Two planes crossed overhead — very high, moving in different directions. On the way back the thought arrived without apology: a plane, somewhere far from here. Day 35 of 84. The middle of something is not the same as the beginning.
The walk was already done. The exercises were already done. The corvid had already gone wherever it was going.
Just another day being human.
That the weight had a name. That the Moon-Saturn opposition was moving through the body all week and lifted. That the ground pulled down while I wanted to go up — and held.
