Between Acknowledgment and Attitude

A Pilgrim's Fitness Plan — Gut Nisdorf 2026

There is a map. I made it to track where I am on this pilgrimage.
Not where I want to be — where I am.

Today the arrow sits between Acknowledgment and Attitude.

Acknowledgment is not confession. It is not explanation. It is exact
witness of what is. Four days in the room. The fracture named — not
the event, but the pattern underneath the event. The inability to
reach and be reached that does not begin with any single person or
moment. It goes further back than that.

The question I brought into the room followed me there from the
winding road, from the body, from further back than I can see:
What does the pain in my lower right back already know about what
I could not see in myself — and what she could no longer carry?

After four days in the room, the pain has disappeared.

The Sound of Silence is a song about people who have forgotten how
to reach each other. Paul Simon wrote it in the dark. I have been
living inside that frequency for longer than I knew.

Attitude is what comes next. Not a decision. A shift in how you
stand in relation to what you now know. It does not announce itself.
It arrives the way the roots move during the descending moon — where
the moon's path crosses the sun's path moving southward and downward —
of their own weight, in their own time.

The place holds what the man is still learning to put down.

The sentence that comes next is still forming. Sovereign and open —
not one or the other. It will arrive.
